OVERVIEW
The Managerial Skills Development Training Program is designed to teach new managers, team leads and supervisors how to lead, motivate and accomplish tasks effectively and efficiently through others.
In today’s complex and dynamic work environment, becoming a supervisor or a manager demands learning new skills and new approaches to getting things done. This comprehensive workshop, therefore, builds a solid foundation in the critical skills needed to successfully manage people.
Participants will come to see and understand themselves as effective leaders of people. They will diagnose typical business situations and determine how best to manage them; engage in practical exercises that focus on your own day-to-day issues and leave the workshop with tools and techniques they can apply immediately back at work.
This is an interactive workshop and involves the use of PowerPoint presentations, exercises, and role plays. Also, video segments in related topics will be displayed and discussed.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- discover their role as managers or supervisors and implications for the team’s success;
- apply different leadership styles to successfully lead and motivate their employees;
- empower employees through motivation and delegation;
- create and manage winning teams;
- manage self, time, and stress in a restless work environment; and
- apply new tools and techniques to improve problem-solving and decision-making.
Target Audience
New managers, team leads or supervisors, prospective managers or supervisors, and managers or supervisors with some experience but no formal training who wish to improve their managerial skills. It will also be a good refresher workshop for older managers.
